It's the changing of the ramp openings and closings on i-694 in the Fridley area.

On Wednesday morning (Oct. 9), motorists traveling westbound on Interstate 694 will find the ramp on East River Road to westbound I-694 open, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).

But the ramp from University Avenue to westbound I-694 will be closed, according to MnDOT officials.

The ramp from University Avenue to westbound I-694 is expected to remain closed until the end of October as construction crews continue concrete pavement repairs on the westbound lanes of the interstate.

MnDOT officials said motorists should continue to watch for lane and ramp closures and follow detour signs during concrete pavement repair, storm sewer improvements and bridge repairs along the I-694 corridor between I-35W in Arden Hills and Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center. Work is expected to be complete in early November.
