Radiant Leaf Colors Hitting The Fridley Area

Fall leaf colors are now rapidly hitting their peak in Fridley and the rest of the Twin Cities, according to the latest weekly map update from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Meanwhile, most of northern Minnesota is at peak fall leaf colors while a few areas are already past their prime, according to the state agency.
Tree leaf colors typically peak by early October in northern and central Minnesota and by mid-October in the southern part of the state.
In the Fridley area, there will be plenty of areas for viewing the changing colors including the Springbrook Nature Center.

In addition to the weekly online reports, the DNR offers fall colors “to go” on a mobile website compatible with smart phones and tablets.

These reports include percent of color change, integrated with Google maps.
