MNsure Customers Meet in Fridley to Better Understand Health Plan

A meeting at Fridley's Unity Hospital is UCare's first business meeting.

More than 300,000 Minnesotans are covered under UCare, a nonprofit health plan.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, UCare hosted a meeting about MNsure for it’s potential customers at Fridley’s Unity Hospital.

Enrollment for MNsure, a new health insurance marketplace, will begin in October. According to MNsure’s website, for the first few years that MNsure is available, individuals who are not covered under an employer’s plan can enroll.

The Star Tribune reports that the meeting in Fridley is one of many “marketplace business” meetings that UCare is hosting. Additional meetings will be held in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
