Why Go: Check out the varsity squads as they both take on Patrick Henry, the girls at 3:30 p.m. and the boys at 5:30 p.m.




When: Friday, Aug. 26 at 6:30 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Arctic Tale will be the last featured film on the big screen for the summer.

When: Saturday, Aug. 27 from 12 to 4 p.m.
Where: KMart (8949 University Ave. NE)
Why Go: See if any of these cats meow your name. There will also be cat care demonstrations.
Price: Free to attend, but fees do apply for adoptions.




When: Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: The new exhibit features the work of five visual artists who interpreted the poetry of Kathryn Kysar through photography, video, sculpture, installation and painting.
Price: Free




When: Sunday, Aug. 28 from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Calling all early birds to...er...assist in the capture and release of wild birds for the banding research project.
