Get Out in Fridley: Pie, Pooches, Poetry, Play

Fridley's weekend entertainment guide for Sept. 29-Oct. 2, 2011.

Thursday, the one day Fridley Patch loves telling you what to do.


When: Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: Seniors can enjoy pie and entertainment and find out about all the events that will be happening this autumn.
Price: Free


   
When: Fridays from 6 to 10 p.m.
Where: The ZONE at the
Why Go: Youth in grades 5-8 are invited for an evening at the ZONE, listening to music, watching movies on one of four screens, dancing under the club lights, playing pool and other age appropriate activities.
Price: $1



When: Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.

Why Go:
Welcome home the Spring Lake Park boys as they kick off against Richfield.
Price: Adults $6, Students $4, Seniors (65+) Free



When: Friday, Sept. 30 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: This is the last chance to explore Pretend the World, the unusual collaborative exhibit that interprets the poems of local poet, Kathryn Kysar, who will be in attendance reading some of the poetry. The readings will be accompanied by musicians.
Price: Free



When: Saturday, Oct. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: The Homeward Bound Dog Rescue organization will supply a plethora of pooches needing a new home.
Price: Free general admission
