Why Go: Enjoy movie night on the big screen for family-friendly entertainment.

When: Saturday, Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Alley Cat Garden (3606 ½ Van Buren Street NE, Minneapolis), find another garden near you
Why Go: Community gardeners around Minnesota invite the public to see what community gardens are all about. The Alley Cat Garden will have gardeners on site and crafts for the kids.
Price: Free




When: Saturday, Aug. 6 from 6 to 11 p.m.
Where: CR’s Sports Bar (8525 Cottonwood Street NW, Coon Rapids)
Why Go: Help the Booby Bunch raise money for the Breast Cancer 3 Day by eating and drinking your heart content.
Price: $10 for Spaghetti Dinner and/or $10 for the Beer Bust




When: Sunday, Aug. 7 from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Why Go: Any early Sunday morning risers are invited to help researchers capture, band and release birds of the wild.
