Cub Foods Gives a Boost to the Fridley Historical Society

Cub Foods' Fridley supermarket  has given a big boost to the Fridley Historical Society.

Store manager Mark Halvorson this past Thursday presented the history group with a $1,500 check as part of the Fridley Cub's grand re-opening in mid-July and community outreach.
"We thought it would be a nice gesture," Halvorson told Fridley Patch

Dorothy Gargaro, a member of the Historical Society board, said, "We received the donation because of the history Cub has in Fridley. Cub's first store was in Fridley." (That was in 1968)
