Fridley natives Eric Foss and Cory Wong met as five-year-olds playing on the same hockey team. In high school, they became close friends and shared a love of music.
After they graduated, Foss and Wong played music together in garage bands and, in 2009, opened a record label, Secret Stash it on vinyl.
Secret Stash has focused on international music, but a recent reissue of People Are Together, a forgotten '60s soul classic by Mickey Murray, has gained attention from City Pages and the Star Tribune.
"We basically focus on releasing rare, I would say groove-based, music," Foss said.
