Maple Grove police and Minnesota State High School League officials continued investigations into a boys soccer match between Totino-Grace and Prairie Seeds Academy.
Investigations are continuing into fighting that broke out at the end of a sectional title boys soccer match last Thursday between Totino-Grace High School and Prairie Seeds Academy.
Statements came Monday from both police in Maple Grove (where the game took place, at Maple Grove High School) and the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL):
The Minnesota State High School League continues to investigate a series of incidents that occurred during and after the Section 5A boys soccer championship game on Thursday, Oct. 18. League staff is reviewing reports from the game officials as well as others. League staff has requested additional information from the participating schools and it will also be reviewed before action, if any, is taken.
League staff plans to conclude its investigation on Tuesday, Oct. 23, after which the League intends to issue a definitive statement. Until that time, the League has no further comment.
From Maple Grove Police Captain Keith Terlinden:
The case is currently open/active pending the results of the investigation. The investigation could take weeks to complete.
