Kids, parents and buses arrived Tuesday for the first day at schools in the Spring Lake Park and Columbia Heights school districts. Fridley Public Schools start Wednesday.

Kelli Catchings and Chason Chivers brought their kindergartner, also named Chason, to North Park Elementary for the first day of school on Tuesday. The school is located in Fridley and part of the Columbia Heights Public Schools.
