Update (10 a.m. Sunday): It was all over within eight minutes, it seems.

According to the Fridley Police Department's log, it was 9:43 p.m. Saturday when the report came in of "a dozen people on the ice skating rink taking their clothes off as they dance" at Briardale Park.

Police arrived at the park at 9:50 p.m. They cleared the scene a minute later.

To Sgt. Jim Mork, who reviewed the log Sunday morning, that indicates that the perpetrators were either gone on arrival or had already put their clothes back on.

It takes longer than a minute for an officer to instruct a dozen people to get dressed and go home, he explained.

Original post (11 p.m. Saturday): This report crackled over the Anoka County Emergency Dispatch radio Saturday night:

"Briardale Park, 6171 Rice Creek Drive. Check for a group of about a dozen people on the ice skating rink taking their clothes off as they dance."

Strangely, Briardale Park has also been the scene of semi-public disrobing in milder October temps, as Fridley Patch reported in 2011. 

Back in the 1980s, people could play on the ice for 90 minutes—the full length of a VHS tape—without taking their clothes off. A recently posted YouTube of boot hockey action at Fridley's Summit Square Park proves it.
