State Rep. Carolyn Laine (DFL-Columbia Heights) recommended you go in a statement Monday:
I encourage all residents concerned about the upcoming I-694 Corridor North Central West project to attend an open house being held by the Minnesota Department of Transportation this Wednesday.
The project is anticipated to have a high impact on traffic in the area. It calls for the resurfacing of I-694 and repairing concrete between I-35W and Hwy 100. It will also resurface all ramps and loops, replace bridge decks at Hwy 252 and repair drainage beneath roadways.
When completed, MnDOT says new pavement will provide a smoother ride for motorists, increasing safety and mobility throughout the corridor, improved drainage will help prolong the life of the new pavement and new bridge decks will extend the life of the structures.
