Extreme Cold Prompts Cancellation of Broomball in Fridley

National Weather Service's warning about windchill heeded.

 

Put those brooms away. An announcement Thursday on Facebook from the City of Fridley Parks and Recreation department:

Due to the extreme cold today, Broomball games have been cancelled.

The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory for the Twin Cities, including Fridley, warning that temperatures could reach dangerous levels from midnight Thursday through noon Friday.
