Matt Quist of Taher, Inc., demonstrated how to cook Moroccan skirt steak with roasted pepper couscous at Fridley High School during conference night Wednesday.

Quist drew a crowd to the cafeteria, first while he prepared the dish, then when Deb Smolinski, Fridley Public Schools food service director, and Nancy Stark, Fridley High head cook, served up samples.

Anoka County SHIP funds paid for Quist's appearance, which was meant to promote healthy eating, Smolinski said.
