Blaine Man Dies in Hwy. 65 Crash, 2 Miles North of Fridley

80-year-old was dead at scene; other driver in two-car crash unhurt.

 

A crash involving a car and a pickup truck killed an 80-year-old Blaine resident Monday morning, according to reports.

It happened at about 9:50 a.m. in Blaine, about two miles north of Fridley on Highway 65, at the intersection with Clover Leaf Parkway, just north of State Hwy. 10, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. The man who died was driving a Grand Am, the newspaper said; the other driver, a 32-year-old Cambridge man, was not hurt.

Responding were Allina paramedics, Blaine police and the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-mounds View (SBM) Fire Department, according to ABC Newspapers.
