3 Fridley-area Teachers Nominated for Teacher of Year
List includes Callie Bush from Fridley High and two from Spring Lake Park schools.
Three teachers in Fridley-area schools are candidates for the Teacher of the Year award sponsored by the Education Minnesota teachers union.
One is Callie Bush, a science teacher at Fridley High School.
Two teachers from the Spring Lake Park School District are in the running: Cheryl Gustafson from Learning Alternatives Community School; and Barb Saunders, who the district honored last year for her work at the early childhood level.
The deadline for Spring Lake Park's Teacher of the Year awards is Friday.
Three candidates are from the Anoka-Hennepin district, which includes a small part of northwest Fridley: Neil Eerdmans, Dana Coleman, Carrie Genser and Lisa Torbenson.
